Laguna Beach Books will host a Open Mic Night today, Sunday January 25 2015 at 5:00pm.
Laguna Beach Books is located at 1200 South Coast Highway.
This is a donation event. The community is encouraged to attend.
Michele McCormick and Ed Kaufman, former hosts of DimeStories, welcome all writers to a new and expanded open mic experience where they can read or perform original, unfettered 3-minute stories or poems.
Even a song if you wrote it yourself.
It will help if your reading has a beginning, middle and end.
All attendees will have an opportunity to shape future direction.

With the return of an open mic night to the store last May,
Laguna Beach Books has the goal of creating a more cohesive writing community in Orange County.
Because the night will occur on a regular basis, there will be a consistent focus on the arts/literary lifestyle and it will hopefully benefit the greater community.
“We love our town and we love being here, so it only makes sense that we would want to host this open mic.
We are hoping that it will help both new and more seasoned writers by giving them a forum to share their work.”
This will be a great opportunity for writers to get exposure and receive feedback on their writing.
This event is open to all writers and listeners, and is free for all although a donation of $5 at the door is gratefully accepted.
