Live! At The Museum tonight, Thursday March 12 2015 is the Saxophone Quartet City of Angels.
This event is at the Laguna Art Museum located at 307 Cliff Drive.
The concert will begin at 7:00pm and will be until 8:00pm.
This is a free event with a valid paid museum admission.
This event is free for members.

The City of Angels was founded in 1990 at Cal State Northridge University.

The group is a past recipient of the prestigious Coleman and Monterey Bay Chamber Music Awards, in both cases the first winning saxophone quartet in the competition’s history.

In 1991 they toured the former Soviet Union, just prior to its breakup. More recently they have performed community concerts in the Southern California area and were chosen to perform at the annual North American Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) convention in Anaheim.

They also received a recommendation from the Southern California Consortium of Chamber Music Presenters.

Over the past 23 years, the group has remained dedicated to honoring and expanding the existing repertoire for saxophone quartet and sharing their combined 120 years of experience in music with audiences.

Their music is a combination of jazz and classical works; some are their own arrangements and some are original works for saxophone quartet.

Audiences commonly remark that they have never heard a saxophone quartet before and had no idea that it could produce such beautiful music.

Live! at the Museum is an ongoing series of early-evening concerts in the museum’s galleries, a feast of sight and sound.

In presenting the series, Laguna Art Museum has partnered with Laguna Beach Live!, an organization cherished by music lovers for its work in bringing performances by top-level, professional musicians to the Laguna Beach community.

Not only are the galleries an appropriately beautiful setting in which to experience great music, they also boast fine acoustics.

The concerts take place the second Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
