The Laguna Beach Police Department is pleased to introduce a new crime prevention initiative called “Dog Walker Watch.”

Dog Walker Watch is a program designed to encourage recreational dog walkers to serve as an extra set of eyes and ears for the Laguna Beach Police Department.
The premise is that dog walkers know their routes well and can easily note “what is normal” and “what is out of place.”

To learn how you can participate in preventing crime in our community, attend the Dog Walker Watch Meeting being held on May 2nd.

This kick-off meeting and training session is open to all Laguna Beach recreational dog walkers and their pets.

Come out and meet your fellow Laguna Dog Walkers!

Date and Time: Saturday May 2, 2015 at Noon (12pm-1pm)

Location: Alta Laguna Park
3300 Alta Laguna Blvd.
Laguna Beach, CA 92651

This will be one of many upcoming opportunities to attend informational training sessions with members of the Laguna Beach Police Department.

The goal is to train community members to heighten their senses in order to recognize suspicious behaviors when things look out of place.

Tips on how, and when, to contact local law enforcement will also be provided.
