The Laguna Library is hosting a author reading today,Wednesday April 29 2015 at 6:30pm.
Laguna Beach Library is located at 363 Glenneyre Street.
Today’s author is Kathryn Lang Slattery author of Immigrant Soldier.
The Ritchie Boys were soldiers, many of them refugees from Nazi Europe,
who were trained in intelligence gathering techniques at Camp Ritchie, Maryland, during World War II.
Lang-Slattery will present an overview of Camp Ritchie and the Ritchie Boys,
discuss the contributions they made toward victory during the war,
and introduce the stories of a few of the men the author has interviewed or researched,
including a short list of notable Ritchie Boys. The talk will be followed by Q & A.
