This is one in a series of dinners that follow the cycle of seasons with two dinners per season.

The Spring 2016 Community Table Dinner: Promoting Pollinators with Kerri Cacciata
In this Community Table featuring Chef Kerri Cacciata, Chef-in-Residence of The Ecology Center, we will discuss pollinators and their important role in a healthy food system.
Resident beekeeper Anna Maria Desipris will join in on the conversation and share ideas and solutions to helping create habitats for bees, butterflies and all kinds of helpful pollinators.
The Ecology Center Spring April 24 2016 Community Table Menu*
Appetizers:
Chilled breakfast radish in herbed butter and smoked black salt
Nasturtium leaves with seared handmade garlic paneer, doused in lemon, curried kraut, cilantro pesto
On the table:
Mejool dates sauteed with rosewater, rosemary (or ginger) and sea salt
Beet root hummus topped with evoo, fried chickpeas, sumac + za’taar, black sesame, micros and petals
seeded roasted garlic flatbread, seeded crackers, salted grissini from BREAD Artisan Bakery
1st Course: TOAST
Tartine with Burrata, First of the Season Cherries Roasted with Balsamic, Shallots, Garlic Confit, Arugula and Za’taar
2nd Course: SALAD
Baby Greens, Raw Spring Vegetables, Avocado Green Goddess, Pickled Onion, Sumac Labneh, Falafel Croutons and topped with Fried Quail Eggs
3rd Course: SOUP
Pancotto: Traditional Bread Soup, Topped with Spring Peas and Pea Shoots, Finished with Herb Oil, Parmesan and a Slow Poached Guinea Egg.
4th Course: MAIN
Greek Yogurt Gnocchi with Coconut Curried Carrots, Beets, Charred Chippolini, Blood Orange and Cilantro.
5th Course: DESSERT
Honey Lavender Custard Cake, Salted Vanilla Bean Cream, Roasted Strawberries, Lavender Honey Glaze, Seeds and Petals

Community Table is a unique experience that’s part farm-to-table dinner and part education, where you will enjoy delicious local food and meet the rancher/farmer and chef who are responsible for the making of your meal.
