
The Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center will be hosting a Nature History Tour Saturday October 15 2016.
This is a Dana Point Free Family Friendly Hike at 9:00am.
This walk focuses on local Dana Point History.
It is designed to introduce participants to the several different main historical periods (ie, Acjachemen, Spanish Mission, Rancho, and Modern Era).
In more detail, participants will learn about the “Woodruff” Era of the 1920’s and 30’s, the surfing heritage, and the harbor construction.
Stories of the past will link the participants to the history of some of the local buildings, structures, and areas as well!
This walk explores the history of the area and is approximately 2 hours.
History Tours occur on the third Saturday of each month.
It is a docent led tour that covers approximately 1.5 miles in distance.

The Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center Hours are Tuesday thru Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm
There is limited free parking in the area.
Trails are open 7:00AM to Sunset daily
