Yappy Hour is a Free Family Friendly Community Happy Hour for you and your dog.
The Ritz Carlton Yappy Hour is held on the Dawn Lawn from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
This seasonal Yappy Hour celebration is a chance for pups to strut their stuff in their favorite costume.
Haute hounds enjoy lapping up libations, thanks to water in his favorite flavor – bacon, chicken, beef or vegan – while human guests relax with a glass of Mutt Lynch Unleashed Chardonnay, Merlot Over and Play Dead, or Chateau d’Og Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cocktails, beer and a selection of barbecue items are available for purchase.
Emmy Award-winning KTLA television reporter Wendy Burch will serve as emcee for the evening’s costume contest.
A panel of judges will determine which canine will take home the prize in the costume categories of “Dynamic Duo,” “Most Creative,” “Cute, Cuddly & Sweet,” and, of course, “Best in Show.”
There is a donation of $10 per canine per category to enter.
As part of the Ritz Carlton Resort’s Community Footprints program, proceeds from Yappy Hour will benefit The Canine Companions for Independence.
Canine Companions has placed 154 assistance dogs nationally with veterans with 119 active teams that include 39 teams from the Southwest Region.
There are also 22 current PTSD study placement teams.
