
Dana Point’s Ocean Institute celebrates California’s Navel History Saturday February 4 2017 and Sunday February 5 2017.
This is a Dana Point Family Friendly Event.
Presented by the U.S. Marine & Naval Detachment , Brooklyn Navy Yard reenactment group.
Visitors will step back in time to learn the art of the sailor and marine during two of America’s greatest conflicts:
the Mexican American War, and the Civil War.

1:30pm: Knots, ropes, and terminology demonstration
Sunday February 5 2017
10:00am: Skirmish Drill
11:00am: Repel boarders and drill demonstration
1:00pm: Weapon’s firing demonstration
2:00pm: Repel boarders and drill demonstration
The Ocean Institute is located in Dana Point Harbor at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive.
