Sherman Gardens will be open from 10:30am to 8:00pm on National Public Gardens Day.
National Public Gardens Day is a day of celebration to raise awareness of America’s public gardens and the important role they play in their communities.

10:30am-4:00pm: Docent Led Garden Tours throughout the Day
10:30am-4:00pm: Carnivorous Plant Discovery Cart
11:00am and 2:00pm: Flower Arranging Demonstration
12:00pm-1:00pm: Ask An Expert: Get all your horticulture questions answered!
5:00pm-7:00pm: Meet the Directors Reception
Meet Sherman Gardens Director Scott Lafleur and learn about Sherman Library & Gardens. Director Carey Lundin will be on hand to talk about her movie Jens Jensen: The Living Green. Complimentary cheese, fruit and coffee.
No-host wine and beer bar.
7:00pm: Special Movie Screening. Jens Jensen: The Living Green.
Jens Jensen (1860-1951) was a passionate environmental activist.
Now, he is hailed as a pioneer of sustainable design, an early champion of native species and a visionary landscape designer.
The film’s director, Carey Lundin, will introduce the film and participate in a Q & A after the screening.
