The National Weather Service (NWS) states that “The Initial Band of Moisture and precipitation will move southward across the area today, followed by periods of showers for tonight through Thursday December 6 2018.” The NWS expects the rain will be ending Friday morning on December 7 2018.

The rain may produce hazardous boating conditions thru Thursday December 6 2018.
Strong winds and a chance of Thunderstorms may created these hazardous marine conditions.
There is a small craft advisory from 1:00pm Wednesday December 5 2018 thru 4:00am Thursday December 6 2018 for coastal waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border.

The Beaches could experience Thunderstorms on Thursday December 6 2018.
A long building period of a West North West Swell on Thursday December 6 2018 will peak Friday into Saturday and could generate Surf up to 6 Feet in San Diego County.
Strong Rip Currents and dangerous swimming conditions are likely.

The Local Mountains are expecting a mix of rain and snow during this storm system.
The NWS service is predicting that Big Bear Mountain and Mountain High Ski Resort in Wrightwood will be getting rain and of snow all day Wednesday December 5 2018. It is expected that late Wednesday night will begin a steady stream of snow throughout the night and throughout the day Thursday December 6 2018.
