The Laguna Beach Arts Commission meets Monday March 25 2019 at 5:30pm.
The Laguna Beach Arts Commission will be meeting at Laguna Beach City Council Chambers.
Laguna Beach City Council Chambers is located at 505 Forest Avenue.
The public is encouraged to attend.
Members of the Arts Commission advise City Council about matters pertaining to artistic and aesthetic aspects of the City.
This includes rules and regulations necessary for the administration and preservation of fine arts, performing arts, and aesthetic aspects of the community.
Members of the Arts Commission serve two-year terms.
Proposed Discussion Items Include:
City Council and Arts Commission Joint Meeting – Discuss and approve presentation.
Laguna Beach Cultural Arts 2018-2019 Review
Village Entrance Art in Public Places Presentation
The Joint Meeting is scheduled for April 2, 2018, at 4 p.m. and will be held in the Council Chambers.
Submission Criteria for Art Works Exhibited at City Hall
Discuss and consider additional language to include in competition guidelines for City Hall exhibitions.
“Hide and Seek” Temporary Installation by David Zinn
Discuss community engagement and arrangements for the temporary installation.
Artist David Zinn will be installing up to 16 chalk art installations between March 26 and March 29, 2019 in the Downtown area and Heisler Park.
The artist will facilitate a workshop on Saturday March 30 2019 at 11:00am at the Heisler Park Amphitheatre open to audiences of all ages and stills and will be free of charge.
