The Laguna Beach Arts Commission meets Monday June 24 2019.

The Laguna Beach Arts Commission will be meeting at Laguna Beach City Council Chambers.
Laguna Beach City Council Chambers is located at 505 Forest Avenue.
The public is encouraged to attend.

Members of the Arts Commission advise City Council about matters pertaining to artistic and aesthetic aspects of the City.
This includes rules and regulations necessary for the administration and preservation of fine arts, performing arts, and aesthetic aspects of the community.
Members of the Arts Commission serve two-year terms.

Proposed Discussion Items Include:

Juried Fine Art Competition – Discuss and approve competition guidelines and juror.
The City of Laguna Beach Juried Fine Art Exhibition is currently in its 13th year.
It will be installed at City Hall on September 23, 2019, and will be on exhibit through November 26, 2019.

September Sunset Serenades – Discuss and approve the schedule.
Sunset Serenades are held each Friday evening in September at the Heisler Park Amphitheater.
Fall concerts take place from 5:30 p.m. to sunset.

9/13: Johnny Lonely’s Unhappy Hour – Crooner
9/20: Carly Lane – Singer/songwriter & band
9/27: Django Shredders – Gypsy guitar duo R

Arts and Economic Prosperity Research Report Questionnaire
Discuss and approve an online survey to non-profit organizations.
The survey would be distributed to all non-profit arts organizations through an online survey development software such as SurveyMonkey in August and the findings presented to the Commission in October.
