The San Clemente Garden Club meets Wednesday November 6 2019.
Today’s meeting will focus on California Nature Friendly Gardens. .
Guest Speaker Brad Jenkins President of the Orange County Chapter California Native Plant Society .
California is a biodiverse region with many interesting and landscape worthy plants for building nature friendly gardens.
Why do we want nature friendly gardens?
Populations of bird, butterfly, bee and other pollinator species are in significant decline. Loss of habitat is an important reason for these declines.
When you bring the plants these animals species need into urban parks and home gardens, you become part of the solution. CNPS has programs spanning Conservation, Gardening, Plant Science, and Education.
San Clemente Garden Club meets at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church located at 2001 Calle Frontera in San Clemente.
