Dana Point Closes Dana Cove and Tide Pools Monday March 23 2020 Due to COVID-19

The City of Dana Point has closed the Dana Cove Tand Tide Pools located behind the Ocean Institute on Monday March 23 2020.
This closure is to ensure the safety of the community during the CoronaVirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.

Under the County’s current emergency declaration, Sheriff Barnes serves as the Director of Emergency Services and decisions such as beach closures are to be made by him.
The City of Dana Point has not received any information that indicates County beaches or their parking lots are closing.
This status could change and the City of Dana Point will provide an update if they receive new information.
