Dana Point Farmers Market is located at 34180 Pacific Coast Highway in La Plaza Park.
The (March 28 2020) market went smoothly with lots of fresh, organic foods available in an open air environment.
The City has enhanced the permit to include additional measures for physical distancing, including monitoring spacing of customers and requiring greater distances between vendors.
The City is observing the market closely and will revoke the permit if physical distancing standards are not being followed.

City Staff was contacted by the County Agriculture Commissioner who asked that the City allow the Dana Point Farmers Market to reopen.
City Staff contacted the Orange County Health Care Agency for guidance regarding operating conditions, and they shared that they were working to adopt guidance that closely mirrored guidance put out by the City of Los Angeles.
Dana Point City Staff Amends Dana Point Farmers Market Permit
City Staff amended the Dana Point Farmers Market permit, based on that guidance and additional consultation with the Orange County Health Care Agency staff, to include the following conditions.
Dana Point Farmers Market Amended Permit with Conditions
Limit sales to whole, uncut produce and packaged food items
No other retail booths
No food preparation food booths
No sampling of unpackaged food
Post signs reminding customers to wash all produce before consumption
Market Manager responsible to ensure crowds are staggered to provide for social distancing of customers
Allow for space between produce stands
Provide hand-washing stations
Operations must comply with the most recent guidance and recommendations of the Orange County Health Officer.
The City of Dana Point Is Providing Additional Resources For the Farmers Market
Restrooms for vendors
(City custodian will be sanitizing restroom throughout the day, along with hand washing stations);
Providing Signage directing patron’s to honor 6-foot separation
