Vaccine Updates
Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Removed From OC POD Sites
In alignment with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendation, the County has removed the Johnson & Johnson vaccine from all its vaccination POD sites until further notice.
The County’s vaccination PODs will continue to dispense the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines to individuals with appointments.
Vaccine Eligibility For Everyone Age 16 and Older
On Thursday April 15 2021, everyone age 16 and older in Orange County is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
People under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive the vaccine. For more information, please click here.

Californian’s Can Sign Up For COVID-19 Vaccine at My Turn
Every Californian can sign up at myturn.ca.gov or call (833) 422-4255 to see if it’s their turn to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The OC Fair & Event Center Super POD will operate with extended hours of 11:00am-9:00pm (appointments between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.) on Thursdays to accommodate working individuals who cannot get vaccinated during standard business hours.
County Super Pods: All County Pod sites, including Anaheim Convention Center Super POD, Soka University POD in Aliso Viejo, Santa Ana College,Disneyland Drive-Thru Pod in Anaheim and OC Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa are open and operational by appointment.
Individuals who lack access to technology can call the HCA hotline at (714) 834-2000 for assistance with Othena registration and support.

Orange County Super PODS Extend Hours” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>Orange County Othena Digital Vaccination Record
Those vaccinated through the County’s Othena system will be able to produce a record to show they have been vaccinated through a new pilot program the OC Health Care Agency is launching.
The Digital Vaccine Record Program provides testing and vaccine verification and will offer a QR code that is easily saved to your computer or smartphone.
Orange County Currently In Orange Reopening Tier
The County continues to remain in Orange Tier, as the County’s case rate has held steady at 3 cases per day, per 100,000 residents.
Once the case rate moves below 2 cases per day, per 100,000, the County will be eligible to move into Yellow Tier.
The State of California
California Expects To Reopen on June 15 2021 With Masking and Vaccinations
The state Department of Public Health tweaked its four-level, color-coded pandemic guidance so that effective April 15, certain venues in Red, Orange and Yellow tier counties could boost their indoor capacities if guests “are tested or show proof of full vaccination.”
The State is still expecting to move beyond the Blueprint for a Safer Economy in June. On June 15, all industries across the state can return to usual operations with common-sense risk reduction measures, such as masking and vaccinations.
