Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday November 7 2021.
Remember to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday November 6 2021.
Local Fire Departments highly recommend that your take this time to remember to inspect your smoke alarms.

Residents should have smoke alarms that not only function properly but are installed in correct locations.

Half of home fire deaths result from fires reported between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. when most people are asleep.

Smoke Alarm Tips

1) Test smoke alarms at least once a month using the test button ensuring everyone in your home recognizes the sound and knows two evacuation routes out of each room.

2) If a smoke alarm “chirps”, indicating a low battery, replace the battery immediately.

3) Replace smoke alarms if they do not respond properly when tested.

4) Never remove or disable a working smoke alarm.
