The City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission is requesting designs for the Annual Holiday Palette Competition by Monday October 3 2022.
The Deadline for submission is Monday October 3 2022 by 5:00pm.
Winning artists are provided with a 4’ x 3’ wooden palette on which to paint original artwork.
The completed palettes are temporary and displayed on lampposts throughout the city during the winter holiday season.
The palettes are displayed on lampposts throughout the city for up to 7 years or based in its condition.
Entries will be accepted from artists who reside, work or exhibit in Laguna Beach and are 18 years and older.
Honorarium $700 for each design selected.
Laguna Beach Holiday Palette Design Competition Important Dates
October 3 2022 at 5:00pm: Prospective palette designs must be delivered to the Cultural Arts Department at City Hall located at 505 Forest Avenue, 2nd Floor by 5:00pm.
Or by via high resolution image emailed to mmcgregor@lagunabeachcity.net.
October 10 2022: Arts Commission will review and select winning designs
October 12 2022: Artist will be notified of selection
October 17 2022: Notified artists to collect blank palettes from the Cultural Art Department
November 14 2022: Completed palettes must be returned by 10:00am
