Each year LPAPA turns Laguna Beach into an outdoor painting studio, inviting the top award-winning Plein Air painters from around the nation to gather to paint the town as they compete for top cash awards and carry on a century-old Plein Air painting tradition!

Monday October 3 2022 at 10:00am-12:00pm: Kids Paint Out and Cookie Reception
Local School Children Mentored in Creating Their Own Plein Air Painting at Heisler Park
Heisler Park is located at 375 Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach
The kids’ masterpieces will then be on exhibit at the LPAPA Gallery, located at 414 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, Thursday October 6th through Monday, October 31st, 2022.
The children’s paintings will be available for purchase through the LPAPA Gallery with 100% of the proceeds donated to the child’s participating school (suggested donation is $50 but any amount is appreciated!).

Join in for an evening with Mr. Jean Stern, Emeritus Director of The Irvine Museum, as he shares about Laguna’s Plein Air history. LPAPA’s annual Invitational Plein Talk with the Experts is a special evening of lively conversation as the experts share about collecting art and answer questions.
