California Highway Patrol Thanksgiving Day Maximum Enforcement Thanksgiving Day Thursday November 23 2023.
The California Highway Patrol Thanksgiving Weekend Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) is Wednesday November 22 2023 at 6:01pm thru Sunday November 26 2023 at 11:59pm.
During the MEP, CHP officers will be working to assist and educate motorists and enforce traffic safety laws throughout the state, actively looking for unsafe driving behaviors, including impaired or distracted driving, unsafe speed, and people not wearing seat belts.
The mission of the CHP is to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security.
