The Pacific Marine Mammal Center will be holding their Marine Mammal Gala tonight, Sunday September 28 2014 at The Ranch. The Ranch is located at 31106 S. Coast Highway in Laguna Beach.
The event will be from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
This is a fundraising event for The Pacific Marine Mammal Center and is $200.00 per person.
Highlights include: A sit down dinner, fine wine, entertainment, local artist art auction.

The Pet Project Foundation will be having a Oktoberfest Fundraising Event Today, Sunday September 28 2014 from 4:30pm to 10:00pm.
This event is $75.00 per person.
The a Pet Project Foundation benefits The San Clemente/Dana Point Animal Shelter.
The Oktoberfest is being held at 207 Chophouse.
The Chophouse is located at 207 S. El Camino Real in San Clemente.
Martin Gerachwitz and Friends will be performing today,
There will be beer, authentic German cuisine and a costume contest.

The Laguna Board of Realtors and Affiliates are hosting The 18th annual pet Parade and Chili Cook Off Today, Sunday September 28 2014. This event is from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The event is at Tivoli Too Grounds located at 777 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.
This event benefits various charities. The Blue Bell Foundation for cats, The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, Laguna Board of Realtors CAF and The Pacific Mammal Center.
Pet Registration is between 11:30am and 12:45pm.
This is a family friendly event. There will be entertainment. There will be awards.

During the month of August, the San Clemente- Dana Point Animal Shelter will offer black kittens and cats for adoption at a discounted price of $50.00. The shelter is calling their special promotion a “Summer Blackout” and encourages people to adopt black cats, which are typically 50 percent less likely to be adopted than cats of another color. The shelter regularly charges $150 to adopt kittens under 4 months old and $100 for cats and kittens 4 months or older. The promotional adoption price includes the standard spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, vet exam, flea treatment and deworming treatment, and a bag of cat food.
