Laguna Dance Festival Master Class Today at Laguna Beach High School at 10:00am
Laguna Dance Festival is presenting a Master Class with New York City Ballet’s Gonzalo Garcia at Laguna Beach High School today, Saturday September 13 2014 at 10:00am. The event will be in the Dance Studio. Laguna Beach High School is located at 625 Park Avenue.
Experience a masterful ballet technique class, learn choreography,
and inquire about life as a professional dancer with New York City Ballet.
Gonzalo Garcia’s extensive and accomplished career began in his home country of Spain at the age of eight. After attending a summer session at San Francisco Ballet school, he participated in the Prix de Lasusanne, becoming the youngest dancer to receive a gold medal. In 1998 Mr. Garcia joined San Francisco Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet, where he was quickly promoted to principal dancer. He later joined New York City Ballet in 2007, and has danced countless featured roles in classic ballets, in addition to roles originated for him.
