The California Coastal Commission monthly public meeting continues on Friday February 12 2016 in Morro Bay.
The public is encouraged to attend.
Late on Wednesday February 10 2016, the California Coastal Commission voted to fire Executive Director Charles Lester. The vote was 7 to 5. The Commission offered no public explanation.
Hundreds of supporters gave public testimony in support of Director Lester.

The City of Dana Point is working with the California Coastal Commission on removing the Gates at Strands Beach.
It is noted in the Agenda for February’s meeting that the California Coastal Commission will be meeting in a closed session to discuss pending litigation in relation to the Dana Point Headlands.
