The California Coastal Commission monthly public meeting concludes Friday March 11 2016 in Santa Monica.

Citizen protestors urged transparency from the Commission on March 9 2016 during the first day of Southern California meetings.

This was the first public Commission Meeting since the controversial firing of the California Coastal Commissions Executive Director Charles Lester.

The California Coastal Commission appointed Senior Deputy Director Jack Ainsworth as interim Executive Director while they seek a permanent replacement.

Locally, the City of Dana Point is working with the California Coastal Commission on removing the Gates at Strands Beach.
