Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens in San Clemente is hosting the
2014-2015 Casa Captivating Season Announcement Reception tonight,Friday September 5, 2014 at 6:30 PM.
This is a free event open to the public.
The Casa Romantica staff will unveil our exciting programs, concerts and events for the upcoming 2014-2015 Casa Captivating Season!
The reception will include a Q&A with the audience
and a special musical guest performance by violin virtuoso, Moni Simeonov.

Dana Point Theater Company presents “Lovin Shakespeare” at Lantern Bay Park Friday August 22 2014. This is a free event that starts at 6:00 pm. Lantern Bay Park is located at 25111 Park Lantern. This is the park In front of the Marriott and above Dana Point Harbor.
The Dana Point Theatre Group will be presenting a collection of favorite scenes from Shakespeare’s works.
This event is outdoors on the grass, so please bring the necessary items that you will need to be comfortable. Think picnic at sunset! Blankets, food, drink, jackets. Have fun!

The #DanaPoint Civic Association hosted a candidate forum for the Orange County Board of Supervisors race. Dana Point Mayor Lisa Bartlett and Laguna Niguel City Councilman Robert Ming took questions from the public this morning at Coffee Importers in Dana Point Harbor.
Join your fellow residents and business members on the third Friday of every month to a waterfront community update. The Dana Point Civic Association hosts a monthly Coffee Chat featuring a variety of speakers on topics that concern Dana Point. A special thanks to Coffee Importers for the free coffee. The San Clemente City Council meets today Tuesday August 19 2014 at 5:00pm. The Council meets at 100 Avenida Presidio. The public is encouraged to attend and to provide input. The Council has a full agenda today.
There is a special presentation scheduled entitled: Water Shortage Level 1 Water Watch that will be presented by Water Conservation Analyst Andrew Kanzler. After the presentation the City of San Clemente is prepared to adopt a resolution declaring that the City of San Clemente California is declaring a Water Shortage Level 1 Water Watch.

The Council has a full Agenda tonight. The Laguna Canyon Road Corridor Improvement Assessment will be discussed. Dana Point Interpretive Center Hosts A Free Whale Walk & Talk at 9:00am Today

Join in this morning, Saturday August 16 2014 at the Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center for a engaging walk and information session about whales and dolphins. This free event starts at 9:00 am and concludes at 11:00am. The Center is located at 34558 Scenic Drive.
From the Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center, you can see many different species of whale and dolphin! Come learn about our largest animal visitors on an approximately 1.5 mile walk through the Dana Point Headlands conservation area. Bring your binoculars (or use ours!) and learn migration patterns of different whale species that frequent the area, as well as how to best spot, watch, and identify whales.
