The Laguna Beach Fire Department in conjunction with all other local fire agencies will be taking part in the annual Spark of Love Toy Drive.

Fire at Silverado Canyon Right Now

The United States Forest Service (USFS) is reporting that at 10:30 am a brush and grass fire began due to unknown origin in Silverado Canyon. The USFS is the incident commander. Over 350 acres are burning and there is zero containment.
The Orange County Fire Authority is stating that The United States Forest Service (USFS) and the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA)are working together in a unified command.nFire agencies are initiating an aggressive initial attack.
The Orange County Sherriff Department (OCSD) is reporting that Santiago Canyon Road is closed between Hwy 241 and Live Oak Canyon Road.
The USFS is reporting that the Wildfire is off of Silverado Canyon Road south of Corona. Road closures include: North Main, Indian Truck, Bedford, and Maple Springs Rd.
There are no evacuations at this time.
Orange County Emergency Operations Center (OCEOC)
has established a hotline at (714) 628-7085.

Update at 12:55pm: The United States Forest Service is reporting that the fire has zero percent containment. The fire area is in steep mountain slopes with dry vegetation in the Cleveland National Forest.
Update at 1:10pm OCSD and OCEOC are reporting that the only road closure is at Silverado Canyon Road and that Santiago Canyon Road remains open.
