The Orange County Sheriff Department is reporting via Twitter that their cadaver dog indicates a “hot spot” a 1/4 mile north of LifeGuard Tower 2 at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. The area has a depth of 15.5 feet of water where they are searching for the swimmer missing since August 24 2014. We will be brining you more updates as they become available.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Orange County LifeGuards join together in a recovery mission this morning, Wednesday September 3 2014 at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. On August 24 2014 a 60 year old man visiting from out of state went missing in the ocean off Salt Creek Beach. A massive multi agency effort was immediately undertaken to rescue him. Shortly thereafter the same efforts went into a recovery effort. This morning The Orange County Sheriff Department and the Orange County LifeGuards are working together in their recovery efforts.
