The Hurley Pro Trestles 2014 is on today, Tuesday September 16 2014.
Men’s Round 2 will begin at 8:00am Gabriel Medina and Kelly Slater are scheduled to compete today. Currently there are 5 to 6 foot swells. The lows are projected today around 10:00 am, with the highs building this afternoon.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Coastal Hazard Alert for South Facing Beaches in Orange County this morning. Elevated Surf and Strong Rip Currents are possible. Minor Tidal Flooding is possible during High Tide.
A 4 TO 6 FOOT SOUTHERLY SWELL WITH 10-12 SECOND PERIOD WILL
ARRIVE ALONG SOUTH FACING BEACHES FROM TROPICAL CYCLONE NORBERT.
THIS SWELL WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCAL MINOR TIDAL
FLOODING AT TIMES OF HIGH TIDE. THE ELEVATED SURF AND LARGE TIDAL
SWINGS WILL MEAN STRONG RIP AND LONG SHORE CURRENTS AT AREA
BEACHES. SWELL AND SURF WILL DECREASE AFTER LATE MONDAY NIGHT.
WAVES AND SURF…4 TO 6 FEET WITH LOCAL SETS OF 7 TO 8 FEET ON
FAVORED SOUTH FACING BEACHES OF ORANGE COUNTY
