Toshiba Tall Ships Festival 2014 Dana Point Maritime Wharf Schedule and Parking Info

Here is the Ocean Institute schedule for the Toshiba Tall Ships Festival Maritime Wharf Events today.

There is shuttle service available from Strands Beach and Dana Point High School.
Strands Beach is located at 34100 Selva Road.
Dana Hills High School is located at 33333 Golden Lantern.

Maritime Wharf (part of new Maddie James Seaside Learning Center)
*please note you must pay the adventure pass and enter to see the ships in order to access the wharf.

12:00 Capstan and sail raising demo (need ‘sailors’ to participate!)

2:00 Sing a sea chantey! (learn a sailor song)

3:30 Storytime in the Boathouse* Different sea stories every time! And enjoy the traditional music of the Slackjaw Brothers on Saturday and Sunday from 12-3pm. They will be roving around throughout the festival.

12:45 Boo Hoo Crew – (ship will be open to public during performance)
1:30 Crew Climbing Demonstration – Sail setting
2:00 “Art and the Sea” Workshop Series: Scrimshaw (in Maritime Barn)
2:30 Naval Historical Show – (ship closed to public at 2:15)
3:30 Cannon Demonstration on pier– (area will be closed off)

4:00 “Art and the Sea” Workshop Series: Knot-Tying (in Maritime Barn)
