San Clemente DMV Field Office Reopens October 1st
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is reminding local customers that the San Clemente field office located at 2727 Via Cascadita, will reopen on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 9 a.m. The field office closed for renovations on January 22, 2014.
The renovations include replacing the flooring, fresh paint, new furniture, and ADA upgrades. The reopening was postponed because of construction delays. First, during the flooring replacement, a moisture evaluation was completed; and came back positive. Additional time was needed to address the moisture issues. Later in the project, the exterior seismic retrofit work ran into delays upon discovery of a high water table when digging to prepare for seismic support construction. The unexpected work needed as a result of the moisture and water issues contributed to schedule delays.
The DMV wants to remind customers that there are over 20 online services available on http://www.dmv.ca.gov. A few of those options are to renew your registration and driver license, complete your change of address, request your own driver record, and make an appointment.
