The Laguna Friends of Architecture will be screening the documentary
The Walk in the Canyon tonight, Friday January 22 2015 at 6:30pm.
The film tells the story of 7,000 passionate people who fought The Irvine Company and won!
To this date, this is the largest environmental protest march ever held in Orange County.
The film will be screening at The Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) in Studio 1.
The college is located at 2222 Laguna Canyon Road.
The efforts of the protestors led to the Irvine Company to the negotiation table for the sale of the land.
The bottom line is that it prevented a 3,500 home development and we now have the Greenbelt around Laguna.
As one of the original organizers of the event Harry Huggins and Charles Murray will give little known insight into this event.
