The Second Annual San Clemente Summit Hike is today, Saturday January 24 2015 at 9:00am.
The San Clemente Summit is located on the northern portion of the Cristianitos Trail up from the trail access point at Avenida Talega.
About 40 people participated in last year’s hike.
Since then, there is a beautiful community bench placed at the highest point (1,008-foot elevation) by Eagle Scout Eric Ord and directional signage installed by the City.
The view from the top provides beautiful, scenic panoramic views.
Walkers are advised to wear a hat and closed-toe hiking shoes, and to bring a water bottle for the three- mile round-trip hike.
Parking is available at the end of Avenida Talega.
