The Assistance League Laguna Beach and The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Open House today, Wednesday February 25 2015.

This will be at the League’s Chapter House at 547 Catalina Street from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.

The public is invited to learn more about the League’s programs, while enjoying tasty bites and drinks from K’ya Bistro and Marine Room Tavern.

Pianist Jim Roberts will provide light musical entertainment.

The Assistance League/Laguna Beach is a volunteer service organization whose members implement ongoing philanthropic programs in the community.
Their current focus is an Early Intervention Program (EIP) for families of developmentally-delayed and diagnosed Down syndrome infants.

The EIP program is unique to Southern California, in that it begins to address developmental issues shortly after birth — many other programs start after the child is one year old.
EIP’s volunteers and therapists begin working with babies at three months of age and continue until they are ready to graduate the program, once they reach one year of age.
Attendees will be able to tour the EIP classroom, and the League’s head coordinator, Catherine Hall, will be on hand to introduce their video, share information and answer questions.
Bargain-hunters will be able to show their support by indulging in power-shopping at the League’s Turnabout Thrift shop (known as the “Nordstrom” of thrift stores) during special evening hours.
The evening’s events will conclude with a random drawing for raffle prizes.

Chamber members and Assistance League members qualify for a reduced admission fee of $15; admission for non-members is $25.

Tickets are available through brownpapertickets.com
or by contacting the Chamber at (949) 494-1018.
