Read Across America Today: Montage Hosts Event at Noon Today

The National Education Association (NEA) in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, celebrates the 18th annual
“Read Across America Day” on Monday, March 2 2015
which is also the 111th birthday of author Dr. Seuss.
Read Across America Day, which has grown into the nation’s largest reading observance with more than 45 million participating, is sponsored by NEA with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Random House, and more than 30 national partners.

Locally the Laguna Beach Montage Resort is celebrating too!

In celebration of Read Across America Day on March 2, along with the recent announcement of Dr. Seuss’ summer 2015 book launch, all five Montage Hotels & Resorts properties will honor Dr. Seuss on the beloved author’s birthday.
Each property will host special events celebrating one of Dr. Seuss’ renowned literary classics at Paintbox, Montage Hotels & Resorts exclusive activities-based children’s program.
The interactive series is designed to inspire young guests to bring Dr. Seuss’ classic stories to life.
Montage Hotels & Resorts will encourage children to participate in exciting programming to commemorate Read Across America Day.

Property activities include:

The oceanfront resort invites children to participate in activities on Monday, March 2 2015.
The Montage is located at 30801 Coast Highway in Laguna Beach.

Children will enjoy bookmark crafts and Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcake decorating.
At high noon there will be a special reading of “The Cat in the Hat,” where all Paintbox children will receive their own copy of Dr. Seuss’ magical tale to take home and make their Montage memory complete.
