The Laguna Beach Arts That Is Small At City Hall competition pre register by email deadline is today, Tuesday March 10 2015.
Competition Description
“Art That’s Small At City Hall” is an open exhibition coordinated by the City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission.
All works deemed acceptable will be exhibited at Laguna Beach City Hall, located at 505 Forest Avenue, from March 16 through April 23, 2015.
Eligibility
Entries will be accepted from residents of Orange County (proof required), ages 18 or older.
All entries must be original and have been executed within the past two years.
Honorarium
First place: $500, second place $250, third place $125, and City Hall Choice $50.
Entry Requirements
A fee of $15 will be charged with only one entry allowed per artist.
Payments by check must be made payable to the City of Laguna Beach or cash payment is accepted.
Artwork must be no larger than 12” along any edge, including the frame, and 3” in depth.
Artwork may include oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, drawing, mixed media and relief.
Artwork must be dry, suitably framed, secure and wired for wall hanging.
No sawtooth hangers or sandwich glass will be accepted.
The City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission reserves the right to reject submissions it deems inappropriate.
Timeline
Pre-register by e-mail through Tuesday March 10, 2015.
Deadline: Saturday, March 14, 2015 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Saturday, March 14, 2015 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Artwork, with applications attached, and entry fee must be delivered to the main entrance of City Hall, 505 Forest Avenue.
Any submissions submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Thursday, March 26, 2015 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Reception and awards ceremony held at Laguna Beach City Hall.
Friday, April 24, 2015 9:00 a.m.
Exhibition closes.
All artwork must be collected at Laguna Beach City Hall.
