The Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Division is seeking submissions for their Postcards from Laguna Mural Competititon.
The deadline is today, Monday March 16 2015.
All required designs and documentations are due today at the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Department at Laguna Beach City Hall.
City Hall is located at 505 Forest Avenue.
Orange County Artists are invited to apply.
The selected murals will replace existing murals at 295 Broadway.
This is a centrally located site that is highly visible in downtown Laguna Beach.
The murals will be viewed primarily by pedestrians, up close and from a distance of 30 yards.
The four murals will be vertically mounted on the Verizon owned building. The murals will be on display for up to 5 years.
The proposed designs should be imaginative, colorful and include the theme of postcards.
The proposed design should convey a positive reference to Laguna Beach and may include a simple message, not to exceed 25% of the surface area.
Imagery should draw from aspects unique to Laguna Beach’s past, present or future.
Materials
Selected winners will be provided with a 7’ x 5’ exterior grade stretched canvas.
All primers, paints and clear coats must be of exterior grade.
