Laguna Beach Annual Waste Collection Today 8:00am to 2:00pm

Laguna Beach residents and business operators may bring their E-Waste, universal waste and paint to the City’s annual collection event to be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Act V parking lot, 1900 Laguna Canyon Road.
Waste Management will collect and recycle the following items:

E-Waste: Alarm clocks, camcorders, CD players, cell phones, computer monitors, CRT’s and flat screens, computers/CPUs/Laptops, copiers, digital cameras, digital thermometers, display boards on exercise equipment, DVD players, hand held electronics, home use medical monitors, IPods/MP3 players, microwave ovens, PDAs, programmable kitchen devices, pagers, printers/scanners/fax machines, radios of all types, stereos (no speakers), telephones/answering machines, televisions, and video game consoles.

Universal Waste: Mercury thermometers, aerosols (cans), all lamps and light bulbs, and batteries (alkaline, lithium, Ni-Cad, Mercury, and small lead acid).

Rechargeable batteries which include lithium-ion are hazardous waste and will not be accepted at the collection event. Click here for programs to safely dispose of hazardous waste .

Paint: All oil and latex paints. Containers up to 5 gallons only. (Paint thinners, caulk, fillers or similar items will not be accepted).

Document shredding: On-site document destruction. No 3-ring binders or hanging folders.

This annual service is offered to Laguna Beach residents and businesses as part of the City’s franchise agreement with Waste Management.

There is a legal limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of waste when driving items to the Act V parking lot.

An attendant will remove the items from vehicles and there will be no forms to fill out.
No other hazardous waste will be accepted at this event.

Residents who are unable to attend the event can still recycle these items and other hazardous waste materials on an on-going basis at one of the County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers.
