The 2015 Swallows Day Parade and Mercado Street Faire will be held on Saturday, March 21th.
The Fiesta de las Golondrinas celebrates the legend of the return of the swallows to the San Juan Capistrano Mission on St. Joseph’s Day, March, 19th.
This event is the reason behind all the fun festivities.
The Parade takes place throughout down-town San Juan Capistrano.
The Swallows Day Parade is one of the nation’s largest non-motorized parade so it is a spectacular event that you will want to attend.
It is completly organized and presented by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association.
A convenient Shuttle Bus or arrive early as most street closures are in effect by 10AM family fun event celebrating the annual return of the swallows parade at 11AM.
Come by car or even train and be sure to mark your calendar to start making the Swallows Day Parade an annual tradition for you and your entire family.
The Shuttle runs from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M.
Avoid traffic and congestion due to street closures.
Convenient parking with multiple shuttle service locations.
Attend the annual pancake breakfast
(6:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.)
The 2015 Swallows Parade & Mercado Shuttle costs only $2.
Shuttle Bus Parking
Free parking can be found at Fluidmaster located at 30800 Rancho Viejo Road, SJC and at the Capistrano Business Plaza located at 30250 Rancho Viejo Road on the east side of Interstate 5 (use the Junipero Serra Exit)
The Shuttle Bus Drop Off
At the Old Fire Station site at the corner of El Horno and La Matanza streets for the short walk into downtown San Juan Capistrano.
Riders may also use the shuttle bus to participate in the Pancake Breakfast at the Women’s Club adjacent to the Old Fire Station.
Shuttle bus riders may return to the Old Fire Station El Horno/La Matanza site throughout the parade until 5:00 P.M. for return back to their respective shuttle bus parking locations.
Street closure for the parade is at 10:00 A.M. with the parade starting at 11:00 A.M.
