Laguna Beach Resident Artist William Mortensen Discussed Today at Laguna Beach Library at 2:00pm

Laguna Beach Library is hosting Author Larry Lytle today, Saturday March 28 2015 at 2:00pm.
Lytle will be discussing his book
American Grotesque: The Life and Art of William Mortensen.
The Laguna Beach Library is located at 363 Glennyre.

American Grotesque is a lavish retrospective of images by Hollywood photographer and Laguna Beach resident William Mortensen.

Mortensen pioneered countless technical innovations and inspired use of special effects predating digital manipulation and Photoshop.

Larry Lytle has done extensive research on the life and art of William Mortensen and has contributed to two new books on Mortensen, published by Feral House— American Grotesque: The Life and Work of William Mortensen and The Command To Look: A Master Photographer’s Method for Controlling the Human Gaze.
