Laguna Beach Ecological Hero’s Celebrated at Hero Fest Tonight

The eighth annual Laguna Hero Fest is tonight, Thursday May 14 2015 at 7:30pm.
Laguna Hero Fest is at Seven Degrees located at 891 Laguna Canyon Road.

Laguna Hero Fest is hosting the premiere screening for the thirty-minute documentary, Laguna Beach Eco Heroes.
This documentary features those working to protect and preserve the special wilderness surrounding Laguna Beach.

Featured heroes include: Greg MacGillivray from One World One Ocean, Nancy Caruso otherwise known as “the Kelp Lady”, Chip McDermott from Zero Trash Laguna, Wyland and more…

This documentary was made possible with support from the Massen Greene Foundation and the generosity of non-profits and filmmakers who shared their work with The MY HERO Project to weave together this celebration of local environmental heroes.

The program begins at 7:30 and there will be:

food and drinks for purchase
Live music
Silent Auction

Suggested donation is $20.00.

An afternoon program for youth will begin at 3:30 featuring special conservation activities for youth, Ocean Stewards and Eco Heroes of Orange County and an environmental art exhibit.

Laguna Hero Fest will share the Marine Conservation Curriculum of short films and lesson plans designed by MY HERO to promote ocean stewardship.
This project was made possible by support from the Orange County Community Foundation.
