Laguna Beach Sewer Charge Increases Public Workshop Tonight

The City of Laguna Beach is hosting a Public Workshop on
proposed sewer charge increases.
Date: Thursday May 14 2015
Time: 6:00pm
Location: Laguna Beach City Council Chambers
located at 505 Forest Avenue.
The public is encouraged to attend.

This is a question-and-answer session held for the public.

Significant improvements are needed to replace aged sewer treatment plant and collection system.

The goal is to of increase operational reliability and reducing the potential for sewer spills.

In order to fund improvements in the capital improvement plan, sewer user rates need to be adjusted by 4.75% for each of the next four years and by 4% for the fifth year.

The property owners within the City’s sewer service area will receive a letter this week detailing proposed sewer user charge increases, the process for their consideration, and announcing the workshop.
