Dana Point July 4th 2015: Parking, Shuttles, Trolleys and Fireworks!

The City of Dana Point is the premier location for your 4th of July celebrations!
Dana Point annual Firwork Show from Dana Point Harbor can be viewed from many locations throughout the city.
Ocean sports, Catalina Island Express, shopping, dining, music and more is on hand every day in Dana Point.
Dana Point Harbor and the surrounding areas will be busy all day.
South OC Beaches has all the information to help ease the traffic pain.

Locals and visitors can avoid the traffic and use the Dana Point shuttles and the Dana Point Trolley. Metrolink with stations in San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano with OCTA bus transfer is available too!

The City of Dana Point, The Dana Point Harbor Association and its sponsors are proud to present a July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza.
This year’s show is anticipated to be one of the largest celebrations in Orange County.
You can view it from virtually anywhere in Dana Point Harbor.
Two of the most popular locations are Heritage Park and Lantern Bay Park.
Both parks are located on the cliffs above Dana Point Harbor.
You can also view it from many of our restaurants and areas within the Harbor, including the Island area, the bridge, Baby Beach, the wharf and off Puerto Place.

Local residents are encouraged to bike or walk to their favorite viewing spot to avoid the annual parking difficulties.

A flyover by the Condor Squadron, consisting of four AT-6 aircraft World War II trainers will take place along the participating coastal cities of Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point and San Clemente.

The flyover will begin at 6:10 p.m. in Newport Beach and arrive in San Clemente at 6:25 p.m. where it will flyover the coast, conduct a 360 in the air and conclude at 6:30 p.m.

8:00am to Midnight:
FREE shuttle buses will make round trips from Dana Hills High School to Dana Point Harbor from 8:00 a.m. to midnight.
Dana Hills High School is located at 33333 Golden Lantern Street.
The shuttle drop offs at Golden Lantern Street and Dana Point Harbor Drive.
Dana Point Harbor is located at 34555 Golden Lantern Street.

The last pick up before the fireworks show from Dana Hills High School will be suspend at 9:00pm.

The shuttles will then line up and wait for the fireworks to finish and then will load up and continue drop offs to the high school until 11:30pm.

The last shuttle will leave the harbor at 11:00pm.

10:00am to 8:00pm: Free Harbor Shuttle servicing the Harbor area only.
The harbor shuttle will help move people around in the Harbor area.
Those stops will be Visitor Center, Baby Beach / OC Sailing & Events Center, Island Way, West Island, East Island, Dana Point Marina Inn, Harbor Retail/Restaurant Area.

The Dana Point Trolley will be operating today starting at 10:00am.
You can take the shuttle to Dana Point Harbor.

7:30pm: Harbor closes to personal vehicles.
Buses will be allowed entry to harbor.
10:30pm (approx.) Harbor access will reopen.

If you must drive, plan ahead.
Parking lots at Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Harbor fill up very early.
