
Laguna Coast Wilderness Park hosts a Blue Moon Hike tonight, Friday July 31 2015.
This hike will be from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
Hike with park staff and Laguna Canyon Foundation volunteers as the sun sets and the moon rises over Laurel and Willow Canyons.
This is a leisurely hike.
Observe the changes as day turns to night.
Learn about night wildlife.
Hear the last bird songs and use the bat detector to listen for their ultrasonic communication. The terrain on this 3.5 mile hike (600-ft. elevation gain) can be steep, rocky and uneven.
Participants should bring:
water
snack
flashlight
sweater or jacket
wear long pants
proper closed-toed hiking shoes
Ages 12 and up.
