The Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival hosts Art Classes on their grounds on select Fridays and Saturdays!
The Sawdust Art Festival is located at 935 Laguna Canyon Road.
Sawdust Festival Art Class Friday November 20 2015 class is entitled Jeweler’s Saw.

Today’s class is from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

Jeweler’s Saw with Annette Doreng-Stearns

Afraid of the jeweler’s saw? Don’t be.
Come and learn how to make a beautiful necklace, and in the process, become confident and competent in using a jeweler’s saw.
It is one of the most useful metalsmithing tools, and will open doors to designs that cannot be completed with metal shears.

In this class, you will make a heart design that will teach you all of the ins and outs of sawing and piercing.
You will learn to cut intricate shapes and holes.

Annette will give you tips and tricks that have helped her in her designs over the years and will leave you with a confident understanding of how to wield this important tool!

About Annette Doreng-Stearns

Annette was trained as an architect at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in her homeland of Denmark.
As an artist she has her hand in many different mediums.
She paints Theater sets as well as paintings, is an art quilter, a jewelry maker and a sculptor.
She also taught handwork at the Santa Fe Waldorf School to both students and adults.
