The Laguna Art Museum hosts The Canyon Project: Artivism!: A Conversation with Mike McGee and Mark Chamberlain on Sunday January 10 2016.

Mike McGee is currently the Begovich Gallery Director and an art department Professor at Cal State Fullerton.

Mark Chamberlain co-founded the “Laguna Canyon Project: The Continuous Document” (1980-2010) to photographically document Laguna Canyon Road.

A crucial phase of this project was The Tell photographic mural (1989).

This 636-foot-long photographic mural served became the site of an enormous demonstration that helped avert development of the area into a massive housing community.

That site is today incorporated into Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.

Laguna Art Museum is located at 307 Cliff Drive.

Laguna Art Museum Parking

Metered parking is available surrounding the museum on Cliff Drive and Pacific Coast Highway.
The meters take quarters and credit cards only.
Additional street parking is available in the residential area east of the museum, across Pacific Coast Highway.

This presentation is included with museum membership or museum admission.
