The Laguna Art Museum is hosting the Annual California Cool Art Auction Saturday February 6 2016 at 6:00pm.
Laguna Art Museum’s annual Art Auction has quickly become one of Orange County’s most anticipated art and social experiences.
From 50s jazz, to mid-century modern design and hard-edge abstract art, creative Californians have continuously redefined what it means to be “cool.”
The Laguna Art Museum is located at 307 Cliff Drive.
Proceeds from the Art Auction ensure that Laguna Art Museum continues its dedication to collecting and preserving California art and providing high-caliber exhibitions and enhancing art education for all.
Art Auction 2016 will be an evening not to be missed featuring:
museum-curated works of art by over 100 of California’s most coveted artists
delicious cuisine and creative cocktails from the finest local restaurants
The evening begins at 6:00 p.m
the silent auction galleries begin closing at 7:30 p.m
the exciting live auction with Aaron Bastian of Bonhams takes place from 8:00pm
Tickets are $125.00 for museum members at the Friend Level and higher, and $150.00 for non-members and members at the Individual and Family Levels.

The Laguna Art Museum concludes its successful David Ligare exhibition and will feature a painting by the artist valued at $7,000 at the Auction.
The Laguna Art Museum will be presenting a upcoming Helen Lundeberg retrospective.
A painting by Lundeberg ($30,000 value) has generously been donated by the Feitelson/Lundeberg Art Foundation for the Auction. Other noteworthy highlights include a Light Sentence sculpture by Laddie John Dill ($50,000 value); a resin work by Peter Alexander ($35,000 value); and works by Ed Ruscha, Lita Albuquerque, and Sam Francis.
The works range from $250 to $50,000, and bidding starting at 50% of the stated value.
