The San Clemente Coastal Advisory Committee meets Thursday February 11 2016.
The meeting is scheduled from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
The meeting will be at the San Clemente Community Center Ole Hanson Room.
The San Clemente Community Center is located at 100 North Calle Seville.
The public is encouraged to attend.
Proposed Discussion Items Include:
SC High School Environmental Science Class Grant Update
A presentation by students from the San Clemente High School Environmental Science Class.
They are reporting on their use of Environmental Sustainability Grant Funding for ocean water quality testing.
Beach Sand Nourishment Update
A memo prepared by Deputy Public Works Director Tom Bonigut with an
update on the Army Corps of Engineers sand replenishment project.
Staff Recommendation: Coastal Advisory Committee support and recommend City Council approval of the PED agreement provided by the Corps and recommend that funding be allocated in the 2017 fiscal year budget for the beach nourishment design phase as well as potential opportunistic sand replenishment projects between 10,000 to 25,000 cubic yards.
