Metrolink is kicking off to the Dana Point Festival of Whales on Saturday March 5 2016 starting at 9:00 a.m.
The 50 First people will receive a free Metrolink ticket!
Enjoy free refreshments and bring a non-perishable donation to play Plinko and win prizes.

After the kickoff event, board Metrolink Train 660 and depart for San Juan Capistrano at 9:46 a.m.

OCTA Metrolink Festival of the Whales Kickoff is at The Tustin Metrolink Station located at 2975 Edinger Avenue in Tustin.

Take Metrolink to the Festival of Whales

The easiest way to get to the festival is by Metrolink train. Board the train at the station nearest you and head to San Juan Capistrano. From San Juan Capistrano, show your Metrolink ticket and ride OC Bus Route 91 South free to Dana Point.
Bus Route 91 South can accommodate passengers requiring ADA-accessible transportation.

How to Get to the Festival

Board Metrolink Train 660 on the OC Line or 859 on the IEOC Line at the station nearest you.
Arrive at San Juan Capistrano station.
From the station, walk to OC Bus stop #7055 off Camino Capistrano and Ortega.
Board OC Bus Route 91 South to Dana Point.
Exit at OC Bus stop #1518 off Pacific Coast Highway and Dana Point Drive in Dana Point.
Walk down Dana Point Harbor Drive to the festival.
Or you can enter Doheny State Park (directional sign at bus stop), walk along the green barrier fence, then proceed to marked Festival of Whales trolley stop. Ride the Festival of Whales trolley free to all event locations throughout the day.
Special One-Way Trolleys Available
On March 5, specially marked Festival of Whales trolleys will offer free rides from OC Bus stop #7055 off Camino Capistrano and Ortega in San Juan Capistrano, directly to the parade viewing area. These shuttles will not provide return transportation to this bus stop or to the San Juan Capistrano station. Passengers will need to board an OC Bus for return to the San Juan Capistrano Metrolink station.

Returning Home Is Easy

Walk to OC Bus stop #1501 off Pacific Coast Highway and Del Obispo in Dana Point.
Board OC Bus Route 91 North (towards Laguna Hills).
Exit at OC Bus stop #7042 off Camino Capistrano and Ortega in San Juan Capistrano.
Walk to the train station across the street.
Take Metrolink Train 667 on the OC Line or 860 on the IEOC Line to stations north and east.
You can also bring your bike and take the San Juan Creek bike trail for three miles to Dana Point and the festival.

Save With a $10 Metrolink Weekend Day Pass
Valid for system-wide travel all day Saturday or Sunday, a Metrolink Weekend Day Pass is only $10 and is available for purchase at all Metrolink station ticket vending machines with weekend service. Check our weekend schedule for departure times.

Metrolink also offers discounts to seniors, persons with disabilities, students, children, and military.
Short-distance fare tickets are available for as little as $3.
