The Dana Point Ocean Institute is presenting Whale Discovery Cruise Sunday March 6 2016 at the Festival of the Whales.

This event is at 10:00am to 12:30pm
This event is at 1:00pm 3:30pm.
The Ocean Institute is located at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive in Dana Point.

Join Ocean Institute scientists on a Whale Watching Cruise aboard the R/V Sea Explorer to view the whales and dolphins that make the coastal waters of Dana Point their home.

Year-round sightings include Fin whales, Minke whales, Bottlenose and Common dolphins; while other marine mammals can be seen during their annual migrations.

In the summer, Blue whales arrive to feed on the abundance of krill and small fish.
In the winter and spring months, guests can spot Gray whales, which make their annual migration to and from Baja California and Alaska.

Other seasonal cetaceans include Risso and Pacific white-sided dolphins, and the occasional sightings of Orcas and Humpback whales.

$45/Adult (18-54)
$35/Senior (55 & up)
$35/Active Duty Military (ID required)
$25/Child (4 -17)

Members receive a 10% discount.
Groups of 4 or more receive a 25% discount.
This cannot be combined with a Member discount.
