The Laguna Art Museum Frederick Hammersley: The Pleasure of Intuition lecture is by Kathleen Howe/Director of Pomona College of Art is at 6:00pm.
Kathleen Stewart Howe was appointed the Sarah Rempel and Herbert S. Rempel ’23 Director of the Pomona College Art Museum and Professor of Art History in the Department of Art History in 2004.
An alumna of Getty Museum Leadership Institute (2009), she served as Associate Director and Curator of Prints and Photographs at the University of New Mexico Art Museum, which is where she first met Frederick Hammersley.
She was a Chester Dale Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts, National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. and received her PhD and MA in the History of Art from the University of New Mexico.
